After you check out the link to the article take a moment to reflect. Then ask this question…If the hacker knew that his work could potentially have a damaging impact on the PS3, why did he publish it on his blog? If he doesn’t want his technique to aid piracy why was it published for all to read? I don’t see the logic.
If a person has done something that could be potentially harmful, why would they tell everyone? This fellow said, “I hate that it enables piracy.” You sir are the enabler! The ability you have to manipulate electronics is astounding, but if you know it would enable piracy why would you publish it on a blog for all to see?
This is a tough issue because on one hand users should be able to make their own games if they choose. However, if making your own game includes the knowledge of pirating others it becomes a matter of ethics, right?
